TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Promotion commences 18/12/2009 00:00:01. Entries close 23:59:59 AEDST on 18/06/2010 (“Promotional Period”).
  3. Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 8 years or over who join or are members of the Girlfriend panel, operated by the Promoter during the Promotional Period. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Entrants under the age of 13 years require parental consent to enter.
  4. All eligible participants in the draw(s) must be members of the Girlfriend Panel on the last day of the Promotional Draw Period to which the draw relates. Membership of the Girlfriend Panel is subject to the terms of use of the Girlfriend Panel as available at www.girlfriend.com.au.
  5. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or the terms of use of the Girlfriend Panel or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  6. Draw - Only one entry per person - To enter into the draw a person needs to register with, and become a member of the Girlfriend panel. To register, visit Girlfriend Gets Real Panel, complete the ‘member profile’ as requested and confirm the validity of their email address as requested. A person can only be a member once and therefore go into the New Member draw once. Membership of the Girlfriend Panel is subject to the terms of use of the Girlfriend Panel as available at Terms & Conditions
  7. Member Participation Draw – From time to time members shall be invited to participate in surveys for Girlfriend. Each survey completed by a member during the Promotional Draw Periods shall earn the member one entry in the Member Participation Draw for that Promotional Draw Period. Surveys must be completed and submitted online using the links provided online and/or by email. Each completed survey equals one entry into the Member Participation Draw conducted at the end of that Promotional Draw Period. Entries are only valid for the Promotional Draw Period to which they relate. Each survey can be completed by each member once only.
  8. The draws for winners will take place at The WebMart Network, Level 1, 17 Grosvenor Street, Neutral Bay, NSW 2089 on the following dates;
    • Promotional Draw Period - 21/06/2010 at 2.00pm (AEDST). Winner will be notified by e-mail and winners names will be published on the Acorn Ideas website (www.acornideas.com.au) on 23/06/2010. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The first valid entry drawn from all entries in the draw for the Promotional Draw Period will win $500.
  10. If the winner of a prize is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner's parent or guardian.
  11. Total prize pool value is $500. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
  12. The Promoter may conduct such further draws at the same place as the original draw as are necessary on the following dates;
    • Promotional Draw Period - 18/09/2010
    In order to distribute the prize if unclaimed by that date subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. In the event of a winner in the unclaimed prize draw, their name will be published Announcements Section of the Acorn website (www.acornideas.com.au) on the following dates
    • Promotional Draw Period - 21/09/2010 at 2.00pm (AEDST). Winner will be notified by e-mail and winners names will be published on the Acorn Ideas website (www.acornideas.com.au) on 23/09/2010. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    • Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
  13. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant;or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
  14. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
  15. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this promotion is governed by the Privacy Notice (see www.acornideas.com.au)
  16. By becoming a member of Girlfriend and entering the competition, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding Girlfriend (www.acornideas.com.au), Pacific Magazines Research, Pacific Magazines, the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoter’s publications, products, services and events.
